Update from Guy, the rescue cat

Hi all you CP supporters

I have been asked to send you an update as to how my life has recently changed.  As some of you may or may not know, I spent 4 years in terrible living conditions: living in one tiny pen and sleeping on the floor.  As I have tummy trouble I was often covered in poo which was not very nice.  I also had a lot of problems with my eyes and was not allowed any medication for them.

However about 4 weeks ago I was rescued by a lovely volunteer called Vanessa, my new mum, on behalf of you kind CP people.  I have had medication for my eyes and my tummy.  Although my tummy is still not perfect when I get in a mess i get cleaned up straight away.  I have been brushed and brushed and now have a nice glossy black coat - I look quite posh I think.  The best bit of my freedom is that I now run around the garden with lots of other cats to play with.  (I have not said anything to Vanessa but one or 2 of them look even more strange than me!!)

I had terrible teeth ache which I had had for months and months, but after a visit to a nice vets in Southam I now have a lovely smile - not many teeth - but a lovely and pain free smile is much better :)  I have even put on 1 kg of weight as I can now eat and my bones are not sticking out any more.

I attach a photo of me after I have snuck into the kitchen and found a nice chair to sleep on.  If no one is around I even manage to sneak into the lounge and find the settee.  Now that is a luxury.

I would like to thank all of the Cats Protection supporters for raising lots of money for cats like me who find themselves in trouble and need some nice kind people to help them..  Thanks especially to Vanessa for giving me a new lease of life.

Love and gummy kisses

Fosterers

The kitten season is fast approaching, and dare I say it, has actually arrived. We currently have mummy cats with kittens, or expecting kittens very soon waiting to come into our care where they can get the medical attention they deserve, and a safe place to give birth. Unfortunatly we are struggling for space - we desperatly need fosterers!! If you have place in your home for a mummy cat with kittens or some on the way, please get in touch. We will provide everything you need. CALL US!

SpotCan you give Spot a home?

Spot is an 11 year old boy, black and short haired but with a white diamond on his chest. He loves a tickle or 2 under his chin but is not too keen yet on being brushed. He does not like being held, and will look for a hiding place afterwards. He is very nervous, but we think he will cope better once he is out of his pen. He will sometimes hiss when he first sees you, but it is not aggressive, he is just scared.
Read more about Spot and more cats looking for new homes.
